If you don’t find the solution here, contact your local FUJIFILM distributor. But the fact that it rolls over fairly regularly and there’s no way of knowing how many times that rollover has occurred, does pretty well limit it’s usefulness for most purposes.Consult the table below should you encounter problems using your camera. We don’t know how that is retained exactly. Of course none of this necessarily means the shutter count is also lost in these situations. But after that one incident the XT3 also behaved perfectly from there on in, and survived various deliberate tests where I removed the battery later on, so it really did seem to just need a good charge to get going. None of my other Fuji’s, including the X-Pro2 I’d been using for two years had ever done anything similar. It freaked me out at the time as I’d also been very sceptical about the idea of an internal battery retaining these settings and assumed that - either way - there had to be something wrong with the camera. I actually swapped it for a second battery I already had charged, so it was next to no time without a battery, but all my settings had been lost and I was back to square one again. It was completely new, out of the box, I went through the setup etc for ten minutes and then realised I wasn’t going to get away without charging the battery.

I experienced the “internal battery” issue with a brand new XT3 last year.
